Overview

Zebarsangari is an online storefront for women's, men's and children's clothing, socks and accessories, written for Persian readers. Products, prices, sizes, colors and images come from a database; the shop owner manages them in a separate admin studio.

Source repository

My role

Design and development of the storefront, the admin studio, the data model and the order flow.

Stack

  • Cloudflare Workers
  • D1 (SQLite) for products, categories and orders
  • KV for sessions and settings
  • Plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript on the front end
  • Node's built-in test runner

Challenge

Take orders without a payment gateway. The shop starts with manual card-to-card payment, so the order flow has to stay honest about what is and is not confirmed.

Approach

Checkout records an order request with a pending status. The customer sends the order code and a receipt photo to the seller by messenger; no receipt file is uploaded or stored. The seller changes the order status in the admin studio after checking the bank.

The storefront was split from one large HTML file with embedded sample images into light HTML, CSS and JavaScript that load real products from the API. In the admin studio, a product, its variants and its category assignments are saved in one database batch so a failure cannot leave half a product behind. Images are compressed to WebP in the browser before upload.

Verified outcomes

  • Storefront, category tree, product editor, multi-image gallery, cart and checkout request are implemented in the repository.
  • Two automated test files cover admin order handling and catalog logic.
  • No sales, traffic or customer figures are claimed.

Status

In development, as a preview. A payment gateway and live commerce are not implemented.
